All of the sites listed were active as of September 27, 2001.  The sites listed give background information on various topics in current events for use in class discussions.  The opinions expressed on the web sites are those of the subjects.  Note that many of the sites provide background but have no information on recent events.  Note that a few sites express Anti-American sentiments and all sites should be reviewed by teachers.
